Studio Lars Högström was asked to represent Finland in an animated poster project for the 59th The European Regional Science Association (ERSA) Congress in 2019. The initial approach was to create a visually appealing data visualization of the event, but the result was in the end something quite different and more in line with the studio’s strengths. The final versions became expressive animations that visually mimicked 80’s futuristic sci-fi movie interfaces. The videos were never shown in the physical space because the poster project eventually got canceled.
